Price of PET raw material decreased; price of polyester filament edged down.
The price index of polyester raw material increased in this period. The price of upstream polyester raw materials oscillated, and now the mainstream PTA spot price in East China is 6116 yuan/ton, MEG mainstream is about 4057.5 yuan/ton; the market price of polyester chips reduced, and the demi-dull polyester chips in Jiangsu and Zhejiang is about 7050 yuan / ton. Mainstream direct quotes of polyester staple fiber 1.4D X38MM from factory in Jiangsu and Zhejiang is about 7300 yuan / ton. The price of polyester yarn was stable. Mainstream price of 32S polyester yarn JiangZhe Area is 11800 yuan/ ton. Mainstream price of 45S polyester yarn is 12600 yuan/ ton.
Sales of Cotton yarn reduced, as well as sales of rayon yarns.

Mainstream direct quotes of viscose staple fiber 1.5D×38mm from factory in Jiangsu and Zhejiang is about 13200 yuan / ton.

According to statistics, price index of grey cloth in this period closed at 124.47 points, which was 0.96 % higher than that of last period, 0.05% down from the beginning of this year, increased 0.35% YOY.
The current price index of grey cloths showed a slight upward trend. Recently, the orders of grey fabrics have increased. The output of some grey fabric companies increased and downstream demand increased. Among them, the demand for chemical fiber grey fabrics increased, and the price index edged up. The market prices of T/C drill fabrics, T/C poplin fabrics, polyester/linen grey fabrics, and nylon/cotton/linen grey fabrics have rebounded. The demand of blended fiber grey cloth and natural fiber grey cloth increased, which pulled up the overall price of grey cloth.
Sales of apparel fabric decreased slightly, price index edged down
According to statistics, price index of apparel fabric in this period closed at 116.58 points, which was 0.021% lower than that of last period, 0.45% down from the beginning of this year, increased 0.02% YOY.
The price index on apparel fabrics decreased. Fabric sales in the traditional market have been decreased. Since the downstream demand for popular fabrics for winter has decreased, spot sales and order shipments of creative textile products have decreased. Deals of some suppliers and price of new style fabrics decreased. The transaction prices of cotton fabrics, polyester fabrics, polyester wool fabrics, polyester spandex fabrics, viscose fabrics, viscose wool fabrics, nylon fabrics, and nylon cotton fabrics decreased in different degrees. According to recent sales, because of the demands of downstream, the price of some batches decreased.
Home textiles sales increased, price index edged up.
According to statistics, price index of home textiles in this period closed at 102.13 points, which kept same with last period, 0.13% up from the beginning of this year, increased 0.26% YOY.
In this period, the price index on home textiles decreased slightly and sales as well. Sales of household textiles decreased and price index showed an upward trend; bedding sales decreased, and price index showed a slight upward trend; sales of curtain fabrics decreased, sales of polyester lustrous FDY jacquard printed curtain fabrics, semi-dull FDY jacquard printing curtain fabrics, DTY jacquard curtain fabrics, and (FDY+DTY) printed curtain fabrics all increased, and the price index edged up; so the overall price index for home textiles edged up.
Market demand of apparel accessories increased and price index edged up.
According to statistics, price index of apparel accessories in this period closed at 132.49 points, 0.21% higher than the last period, 0.50% down from the beginning of this year, decreased 2.22% YOY.
The price index of fashion accessories had a slight decrease. The recent sales in China Textile City traditional market decreased. The sales of belts decreased, and the price index showed a decreasing trend; the turnover of laces decreased, and the price index showed a downward trend; the sales of apparel lining decreased, and the price index showed a downward trend; the sales of thread and rope have decreased, and price index edged up; which pulled the general price of apparel accessories down.
Forecast of textile price index in next period.
It is expected that the overall market in China Textile City will fluctuate and drop slightly in the next period. Due to the "May Day" holiday, some merchants from the north and the south have returned to their hometowns and left the market every day. Due to the poor situation of receiving new orders from the downstream, the downstream demand will be partially insufficient, the market trend will be flat, and the enthusiasm for fabric subscription will decline.
